Here is the great and power Herman. He's the fly in the start of the second act of Carson Cowhand. Done quickly today to see how he flies and looks from the sketch to more of a grasp of his over all design. I think I'm going to have some clothes coming outta the cracks of the suitcase; maybe even a sock. Hes going to be a random start the the second act. As I was staring at him flying I had wonderful thoughts about a back story that I know the audience will truly love. Anyway here is Herman; the fly.
I'm looking to get this into 3 parts for a total running time of around 15 minutes. With that I hope to send it out to festivals for the fame and fortune that awaits me. I found a great festival website. http://www.animation-festivals.com/ Im looking to get this 15 minutes done by a Portland Oregon festival deadline of January 31st. I will be moving off from part 1 and moving onto part 2 and 3 for now. Boarding starts today!
Any comments would be much appreciated! Thanks for watching!
Yes! These were done in oil! I did them in a sketchy plein air style. An idea I had that I wanted to put into action. Made my own frames and stretched the canvas myself. Went over to Home Depot found the scrap wood section and made myself a huge frame for 3 bucks. You can get huge rolls of canvas from Utrecht for around 30 bucks. Saves me a ton of money.
This is going to to be Fergus 'Fergie' Colm aka The Florist from the movie The Town. He will be sitting on a stool in front of a counter with his roses layed out before him with one in his hand. The end will be a mental ray render out of Maya.
Fergus 'Fergie' Colm: Cash is brought out and stacked fifteen minutes before the van does the pick up. That is when you hit. On Monday morning, before game stands in New York, sixty thousand beers, food, merchandise. Total call; three and a half million. Taking down the cathedral of Boston? Priceless.
