50's Science Fiction Model

I've have been working on updating my website this week and last. It's still in construction waiting for me to update the 3D model pictures and illustrations should possibly be done by the end up the day tomorrow. Also added streaming video for my reel so it will actually show up now.

I finally got back to this model. I have textured and did a little lighting on her. She is ready to go into rigging which I hope to slowly get done over the course of next week. I did notice some things I wanted to change look-wise before first!

I took the beard off as it looked like Santa Clause on skies. I also took a forearm off and replaced with gun. I was feeling steam punky while making him so hes slowly evolving to that look. Next post should be a colored version!

Going to go about posing him now. Going to then start by adding more and more detail. Might go about giving him a hat, undershirt, and jacket he's looking better than expected without though. I did the re-mesh on him which dropped the torso polys from 6 millions to around 100 thousand. New re-mash easier to pose facial expressions and go up another 5 or 6 subdivision levels. I hate re typologizing but it has to be done as the experience is good and it's just a lovely test of patience.

Protagonist

Carson:
Carson a cowboy that is said to have been raised by wild stallions . He is humorous, clever and a little flamboyant . Looking to catch the men who do wrong and think they can get away with it. A mercenary by day and a loud snorer by night. With his team with him ( Hooph & Spittoon ) he will get all shameless criminals without a second thought. He is looking to bring this country to the top and will have nothing to do with the appalling and filthy stench of this countries criminals.

Antagonist

Phattorney:

A man of travel hailing from France. Once in Americas top 10 riches tycoons list he is now out to get the countries up and comers. Looking to put France back on the map not only for incredible food but for being dangerous. A Crazy gun slinging French men with a taste for whiskey and desert sand.

Supporting Cast:

Spittoon:
As being the self proclaimed alcoholic of the group Spittoon smells frankly. He never bathes and is constantly used for what he is; a spittoon. A complainer, cry baby, and overweight alcoholic. Whose main goal in life is to put his two cents into any conversation or poker game.

Hooph:
The last of the wild stallions? Hooph began his career as a horse fleeing from his homeland of New Zealand as being the runt of the band. Proving to all who doubts his brains or brawns he's out to prove this cruel world wrong. A little childish, ill-bred, and narcissistic who often finds comfort in his accomplishment in obtaining his "short term" goals.

Concept for minesweeper I put together. It was a test for a game company down in San Fran. Its hero is a well known throughout the galaxy for wacking the bad and saving the good. You play as Captain Peck and go around from Evil ruled planets to take out the communist leaders! It is made for the Iphone so using the touch screen your able to slide around the gameboard as the levels get harder and harder. Each level changing bad guy as well as planetary setting.

For anyone that hasn't messed around with Zbrush. It is the complete opposite of what Maya and Max are. It is a 3d Digital Sculpting program that is simply amazing. Heres a screen shot of a skull I worked on for about and hour and a half first attempt at zbrush ever. You can export an obj right out of z brush into maya and render and mess with it how you like. So goooood. Check out zbrush now and mess with it. Once you get over the interface its all fun from there. Play Pandora and get to sculpting without the mess. Good times.

Not sure if I modeled him correctly at all to rig but going to soon find out. Its taken me the last 5 days straight modeling him. I want to RIG and then animated him. If that goes well I will start modeling Hooph Carsons Horse.
